About my free verses for cards

Welcome to my blog of free verses for cards.
Most of us appreciate a nice greeting card don't we, & a lot of us prefer to have a verse inside the card too. The problem is, we don't always want the verse that comes with the card. We perhaps like the card front, but want to change the inner verse. You can do that with the cards in my store, but what if you can't compose your own greeting card verse? There are lots of verses for cards on the internet, but many of them are the copyright of the verse composer.
Here on my blog, verses for cards for free, I have composed all of them myself, so you need have no worries about intellectual copyright.
The only thing I ask, is that if you want to use a free verse commercially, please contact me first so that I know where it's going to be used.
If you do use one of my free verses, it would be nice if you would bookmark my blog, or better still, put a link on your blog, website or social networking page!
Here's the first of the free verses, and I will be adding more regularly, so please pop back & check it out.

new verse about cat & dog relationship.

I once had a cat that would boss the dog about something silly.
I recently wrote this verse about it and made a card to go with it...

Ice cool cat with stony glare,
Sits atop the bedroom stair,
Silent tail moves to and fro,
Eyes fixed on the dog below.
Cowering canine six treads down,
Knits his brow in wrinkled frown,
Never dares to move an inch,
The feline glare just makes him flinch.
A standoff, no negotiation,
His whine expresses his frustration,
And so he sits, too scared to climb,
She'll let him through ...
All in good time!
Here's the card store where you can find it soon...

Who likes funny verses?

Well, I do for one.
Although not the easiest of verses to compose, they can really add something to a greeting card.
When I create my humorous cards, I try & match the front image with a funny rhyme or poem in side. This seems to make the card complete & draws the greeting card recipient into the card.
Take a look at some of my recent humorous cards & you will see what I mean...
